Dear Western Oaks Family,
As 2026 draws near I am ever thankful to be a part of such a loving church family. God has blessed us this year and, as of the writing of this letter, we have baptized fourteen people with two more planned! In addition to the salvations, many committed volunteers, and sweet spirit of unity, God has blessed us with the stewardship of financial resources. To that point, the proposed budget for 2026 is attached. Please review it carefully and prayerfully as our approval of it is a commitment to give faithfully and generously.
You may notice a few edits compared to the 2025 budget. First, some of the headings reflect our new mission statement to “know God, love one another, and share Jesus.” I believe that our mission should be reflected in the way we think about and use our resources. Other line items and headings have been adjusted to bring more clarity as to their purposes.
To afford you an opportunity to ask any questions and provide feedback on the proposed budget, we will have a virtual town hall meeting on Wednesday, December 17, at 6:00PM via Zoom. Please call the church office if you need help getting set up ahead of time. Pending a motion to adopt the budget at that meeting, we will vote to approve the budget following the Sunday morning worship service on December 21. I trust that God will do great things in us and through us in the coming year.
